Thanks to electroplating, we can cover metals with special coatings. These coatings makes the metal more resistant to various factors, such as chemicals, e.g. acids, and to certain processes, such as corrosion. Electroplating is also a way to change the resistance of the processed metal to mechanical damage or high temperature.
