- The BAOBAB-K Scattered Mine Laying Vehicle is another R&D project that we are proud of, because it was created thanks to the efficient cooperation of PGZ companies, using to a large extent their products and systems. BAOBAB-K is based on the latest technologies and meets all the requirements of the modern battlefield. I am glad that the Polish design will effectively secure and protect our territory. I am convinced that this is another innovative solution "made in Poland" that can successfully compete with similar ones created around the world - emphasized Sebastian Chwałek, President of the Management Board of PGZ S.A.
The BAOBAB-K scattered minelaying vehicle is the result of research and development work carried out on the basis of an agreement concluded with the Armament Agency (formerly the Armament Inspectorate) on 28 December 2018. As a result of the work carried out, a prototype was created, the tactical and technical assumptions of this system were confirmed in the tests, and technical documentation was developed enabling the commencement of serial production. The BAOBAB-K research and development project ended with a positive result of qualification tests in November 2022.
