SUMMARY OF 2022

Bydgoskie Zakłady Elektromechaniczne ‘BELMA’ S.A. ends the year knowing that it has successfully faced all the setbacks caused by the current economic and political situation.

In the past year, Belma finalised a number of contracts and concluded more, and received awards and distinctions for its technical solutions. Below is an overview of the most important of these.

I. Completed and acquired contracts

Belma duly completed both contracts for domestic and foreign customers. For the Polish Armed Forces, among other things, the following were delivered: ISM mine cassettes with MN-123 ordnance mines, MR-123 hand-held anti-tank mines, ZN-97 and WP-9 fuses. The BAOBAB-K project was also completed. Heads for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles were delivered under foreign contracts.

Contracts were concluded for 2023, including for ZN-97 igniters for 2023 - 2024 and for export sales of warheads for BSP.

II. Participation in national and international exhibition events

1. World Defense Show in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Deadline 6-9 March 2022. The Company exhibited the following exhibits as part of the PGZ Group's joint stand:

• MR-123 hand-set anti-tank mine.

1. EUROSATORY in Paris. Deadline 13-17 June 2022. The company exhibited the following as part of the PGZ group's joint stand:

1. Defence Day24 in Warsaw. Deadline 24-25 May 2022 The event took the form of a conference covering defence topics. In addition to attending lectures, participants had the opportunity to see the exhibition prepared by defence companies. Belma presented its offer as part of the joint stand of the PGZ group, including warheads for BSP, SPP£W Tulipan and MR-123.

2. MSPO in Kielce. Deadline 6-9 September 2022 The company was presenting as part of the group's stand:

• heads for BSP,

• SPP£w Tulip,

• Elements of the mine-laying system, i.e. the minesweeper and the MN-123 mine cassette,

• elements of the Rowan-S development work, i.e.: a grenade launcher with grenades,

• MPB-ZN anti-submarine mine,

• MR-123 hand-held anti-tank mine.

      Belma has been awarded twice:

• As a long-standing, annual exhibitor, Belma received the 30th anniversary award for this fair

• Commendation for the SPPŁW Tulip product awarded by the Armed Forces Operational Command in the Operation Support category.

III. Visits and demonstrations carried out

1. Visit of representatives of the Military Academy of Technology on 05.04.2022. The participants of the meeting listened to a multimedia presentation on special products manufactured at our Plant, as well as had the opportunity to see their mock-ups. After the theoretical part, the listeners went to the company's training ground, where they could test the arming and deployment of MR-123/C mines on the minefield, as well as familiarise themselves with the operation of the MN-123/C mine thrower.

2. Organisation of a demonstration on 17.05.2022 in cooperation with Zakłady Chemiczne Nitro-Chem S.A., for representatives of the Territorial Defence Forces Command and the 8th Kujawsko-Pomorska Brigade of Territorial Defence. During the show, the Company presented combat versions of the SPPŁW Tulipan mine and the MR-123 anti-tank hand mine. The show was followed by a multimedia presentation and a discussion panel.

3. Visit of a foreign delegation from South Korea (Hanwha Systems concern) as part of the cooperation established by the Polish Armaments Group. The participants had the opportunity to see a demonstration of mine laying. The delegation got acquainted with the Company's product offer and development projects. They also viewed finished systems developed by the Company.

4. Visit of the Parliamentary Committee on National Defence on 29.11.2022. During the visit, a demonstration of erratic mining was conducted. After the demonstration, the delegation had the opportunity to see the production hall and familiarise themselves with the product range.

IV. Marketing activity

1. In the month of May, an article about the family of tactical warheads manufactured in the Company was published in the magazine ‘Special Report’, published by the editorial board of ZBiAM. The entire issue was dedicated to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and the purpose of the article was to present the tactical warheads currently available in our range, which can be used for many types of carriers.

2. From 1 to 30 June, the employees of BZE ‘BELMA’ S.A. joined the ‘Active Cities’ cycling campaign. This was a health-promoting action to encourage sporting activity. Our representatives cycled a total of 10249.59 km scoring 16 points for the Bydgoszcz metropolitan area.

3. In October 2022, the Company joined the Strength of a Woman campaign organised by PolskaPress. The campaign supported women with breast cancer.

4. On 25 November 2022, a special supplement ‘Kujawsko-Pomorskie for defence and security’ was published in the Express Bydgoski and Gazeta Pomorska newspapers edited by POLSKAPRESS. The article dedicated to BZE ‘BELMA’ S.A. consisted of an interview given by the President of the Company's Board of Directors and an introduction to the readers on the operation of the Explosive Ordnance Mining System, Tactical Warheads and the Controlled Anti-tank Explosive Payload code-named Tulipan.

5. On 10 December 2022, the Company's employees got involved in a charity table tennis tournament organised by the NITRO-CHEM Company. This was the second edition of the tournament, which enjoyed double the publicity this year. The aim of the event was to support children from Childcare Centres.

6. In order to reduce the transport costs of the Company's product fair exhibits, their models were made using 3D printing technology.
